Sharjah24: Khalifa Mohammed Bu Ghanem, Governor of Abu Musa Island, welcomed the administration and teachers of Abu Musa Joint School, under the Ministry of Education, to his council in Sharjah to mark the beginning of the 2025–2026 school year. The meeting, held in a friendly and motivating atmosphere, began with Bu Ghanem congratulating the teaching staff and emphasising that education and upbringing remain a top priority for the UAE leadership under His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE. He also expressed appreciation for the continuous support provided by the Sharjah government, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to nurture the educational system in the emirate.
Nurturing capable and responsible students

Bu Ghanem highlighted the importance of the new academic year in developing a knowledgeable and capable generation that can contribute to the nation’s progress. He praised the school’s administrative and teaching staff for their dedication to enhancing students’ skills, academic performance, and motivation to learn. He stressed the adoption of modern educational methods, organising enrichment programmes that cultivate a love for learning, and instilling values of loyalty and belonging to the UAE as fundamental pillars of national development.

He noted that such efforts reflect a firm belief in education as a cornerstone of human development, aiming to empower students with modern knowledge and skills in advanced learning environments that keep pace with global developments. This approach prepares a conscious and capable generation ready to meet the nation’s aspirations and support its journey towards leadership, sustainable development, prosperity, peace, and tolerance.

The meeting concluded with an open discussion on further developing the educational process on the island, addressing school challenges, and identifying educational needs. The school’s administration and teachers expressed deep appreciation for the meeting and ongoing support, wishing the new academic year to be filled with success and achievement.
