Sharjah 24: His Excellency Mr. Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, honoured the winners of the “Artistic Radiances” competition, organised annually, at the GCC universities level, with the participation of 150 students from 20 Gulf universities. The contestants presented about 500 distinguished artistic works in the fields of drawing, Arabic calligraphy, and photography.
His Excellency the President of the University visited the art exhibition accompanying the competition, and praised the quality of the artistic works, their distinct creative originality, and the accompanying artistic workshops, which included Sharjah architecture, oil painting, and calligraphy, which reflected the beauty of plastic art, in addition to an exhibition by Al Qasimia University graduate Yishuzhang from China.
His Excellency Professor Jamal Al Tarifi accompanied by His Excellency Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, honoured the winning students, members of the arbitration committee, and the participating universities.
In turn, His Excellency Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf praised the distinguished participations in the “Artistic Radiances” competition, which reflects the originality and creativity in the fields of plastic arts in many GCC universities and achieves the main goal of the competition in promoting artistic culture and encouraging students to be creative.
Al Khalaf pointed out the quality and diversity of artistic works submitted by talented and creative students in the fields of drawing, Arabic calligraphy, and photography.
Al Khalaf congratulated the winning students at the university level, and thanked the members of the jury and the participating universities for their contribution to the success of the competition and its development year after year, whereas the “Artistic Radiances” competition was launched by Al Qasimia University to open horizons of creativity for young talents at the GCC level to be expanded in the coming years, at the Arab and international levels.
