Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) is actively working to support families and children through various programs aimed at raising awareness and promoting important educational values. These initiatives focus on helping young people develop positive behaviors and moral values, while also providing mothers with essential skills for raising their children.

One of their key projects, called “Sanad Al Bait,” offers training workshops to children to help them understand the importance of responsibility and leadership. The goal is to empower kids so they can assist their families, supporting their mothers and siblings and contributing to the family's well-being. This project encourages teamwork and taking initiative, helping children become more self-reliant.

Additionally, the SSEF has implemented interactive workshops under the “Athar” program for kids aged 8 to 12. This program aims to build strong moral character and social skills through engaging activities and real-life experiences in different locations around Sharjah.

To promote community values, the SSEF held a workshop called "Al Sanaa" with participation from individuals in the Eastern Region. Dr Fatima Al Mughni, the head of the Hayakum Aqrabou ilatharthiat Foundation in Khorfakkan, led the session, teaching children about traditional Emirati customs and how to behave politely in everyday situations.

The Foundation also organized a discussion titled "Let's Talk," in partnership with the Kalba Police Station, aimed at children. This session focused on the risks of misusing social media and ways to navigate modern digital challenges. It encouraged kids to safely and responsibly use technology, express their feelings, and improve their communication skills.

Another important workshop called “My Friends Shape My Future” addressed how friendships can influence children's lives and behavior, guiding them toward a brighter future.

Overall, the Foundation stresses that these programs are part of its plan to strengthen families’ knowledge and skills, equipping children with the abilities they need to face life's challenges. The wide range of topics covered in the workshops reflects a commitment to meet the community's needs and to promote a culture of informed parenting that leads to more responsible and aware generations.

In a recent statement, Nawal Al Hamdi, the Director of the Social Welfare Department at the Foundation, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in child development. She remarked, "The introduction of these social workshops embodies our belief that nurturing a child's personality requires a genuine partnership with mothers and families. Our goal is to instill essential behavioral values and life skills that contribute to a well-rounded upbringing. We have concentrated on key themes such as family responsibility, moral values, national identity, and the influence of companionship, all of which play a crucial role in shaping children's character and equipping them for a promising future. We are firm believers that conscious parenting starts within the family but extends to the wider community, a principle we are committed to strengthening through our varied and meaningful social programs."
