Sharjah24: The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE) honored winners of the Ramadan competition for the employees of the various departments and entities of the Sharjah government. The eighth edition of the competition witnessed a significant participation during the holy month of Ramadan.
SNQSE organized a ceremony after the competition recorded a total of 178 participants, with 89 females and 68 males who met the competition's requirements and were tested by specialized committees. The competition's remarkable success added to its reputation as one of the distinguished Quranic competitions in a series of Quranic awards organized annually by the foundation, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to encourage the community to memorize the Holy Quran.
The employees who participated in the competition were citizens and residents working in various government and semi-governmental entities, totaling 60 entities.
The competition played a significant role in motivating a large group of employees, both male and female, to memorize the Holy Quran. It focused on memorizing Surah At-Talaq, Surah At-Taghabun, and Surah Al-Munafiqun.
The ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Holy Quran Academy , was attended by His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Delmouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SNQSE, His Excellency Omar Ali Al Shamsi, Director of SNQSE, His Excellency Abdullah Khalaf Al Housani, Secretary-General of Holy Quran Academy, and Aisha Ahmed Al Huwaidi, a member of the Board of Directors of the SNQSE. A total of 20 winners and five entities whose representatives achieved the top three positions were honored.
After reciting verses from the Noble Qur'an, His Excellency Sultan Matar bin Delmouk delivered a speech praising the success of the Ramadan competition for the employees of the Sharjah government and emphasized its importance in encouraging an important segment of society. He noted that the competition witnessed a great turnout from employees of 60 government and semi-governmental entities.
Following his speech, Ibn Delmouk, accompanied by Abdullah Khalaf Al Housani, Aisha Ahmed Al Huwaidi, and Omar Al Shamsi, honored winners of the competition.
