Sharjah 24: In a move that reflects its commitment to supporting graduates and jobseekers while strengthening direct engagement with employers, University of Khorfakkan, through its Alumni Affairs Office, organised the “Graduates' Gateway 2026” Career Fair.

The event was held in partnership with the Sharjah Department of Human Resources as a strategic partner, alongside a number of government and private sector organisations from across the UAE. It was organised under the supervision of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs.

The fair provided an interactive platform for graduates and jobseekers to meet representatives from recruiting organisations, explore available career opportunities, and gain insight into the skills and competencies currently sought by the labour market.

During its participation, the Sharjah Department of Human Resources showcased its specialised training and professional development programmes designed to enhance jobseekers’ skills and improve their workplace readiness. Other participating organisations also presented their recruitment needs and career requirements, helping to strengthen employment prospects, encourage knowledge exchange, and support community development.

Dr Saif Khamis Al Naqbi, Vice Chancellor of University of Khorfakkan for Community Affairs, said the “Graduates' Gateway 2026” Career Fair reflects the university’s commitment to supporting graduates and jobseekers and preparing them to enter the labour market with confidence.

He noted that the event brings graduates together with public and private sector organisations, giving them opportunities to build professional networks that can contribute to their future career growth.

“We believe at University of Khorfakkan that our responsibility towards students extends beyond graduation. That is why we are committed to launching high-quality initiatives that enhance graduates’ readiness, align with labour market needs, support the development of national talent, and empower them to contribute to the UAE’s broader development journey,” he added.

The fair witnessed strong participation and engagement from graduates and jobseekers, who benefited from learning about available career opportunities and employer expectations, helping them better prepare for their transition into the workforce.
