Al Dhaid 17th Ramadan competition for the Holy Quran kicks off

Sharjah 24: Qualifiers for the 17th edition of the Al Dhaid Ramadan competition for the Holy Quran began at Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, with the participation of 325 students from different cities in the central region, namely Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Mleiha, and Al Bataeh.
The qualifiers were attended by Khalifa Mubarak Dalmouk Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Cultural Committee, and Mahir Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, Managing Director of Al Dhaid Club.

Three committees formed in cooperation with the Central Region Branch of Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment began to receive and evaluate the participants at Al Dhaid Club headquarters.

His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, confirmed that the competition is held annually with the aim of encouraging children to memorise the Book of God, in cooperation with the Central Region Branch of Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment.

Hamid Abdullah Balsadria Al Khatri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, explained that the competition has become an essential part of the club’s Ramadan activities, organised annually, the closing ceremony for this year will be during the holy month of Ramadan, and the contributors to the success of the competition will be honoured.
