Sharjah24: The Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment recently concluded a closing event at its Sharjah headquarters, celebrating the recipients of the Hafiz Al-Quran Prize for the 2022 and 2023 sessions.
Organised by the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, the Hafiz Al-Quran Prize is part of its Quranic awards, aiming to promote Quranic values and encourage the memorisation and recitation of the Quran among different generations in society. This prize serves as a recognition and tribute to the commendable efforts of individuals participating in the Quran memorisation circles affiliated with the establishment, who diligently dedicate themselves to memorising the Quran.
The prize serves as a motivation for participants in the circles to take the noble step of completing the memorisation of the Quran, contributing to the formation of a generation committed to the Quran's values. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in achieving its objectives of reinforcing Islamic identity and nurturing a strong connection between circle participants and the Book of Allah. This, in turn, contributes to the graduation of generations proficient in both memorising and reciting the Quran.
During the ceremony, 90 successful male and female memorisers were honoured by Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, in the presence of Aisha Al-Houidi, a Board of Directors member, and Omar Al-Shamsi, the Establishment's Director.
In 2022 and 2023, 690 students received Hafiz certificates from the Establishment, with 131 students applying for the prize. Among them, 90 stood out for their excellence, meeting all participation criteria and standards.
The event featured speeches from Chairman Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk and Dr. Salem Al-Doubi, along with presentations of recitations by the prize-winning students, adding an extra layer of appreciation for the accomplished Quran memorisers and their outstanding achievements.
