Sharjah 24: The Municipal Council of Al Madam region held the first edition of the Al Madam Holy Quran Award ceremony in the “Al Bayt Mitwahid” Hall in Sharjah, under Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer’s patronage.
The ceremony was held with the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, the Al Madam Cultural and Sports Club, the Department of Social Services, the Municipality of the Al Madam, and the Gulf Hospitality Company.
Sultan Mohammad Muadhad bin Huwaiden, chairman of Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment, considered the award a critical turning point in promoting the memorisation and recitation of the Book of God in Al Madam and the central region, expressing his profound thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his constant support and his pioneering efforts in promoting values in society and supporting institutions. Sultan Muhammad Muadhad bin Howayden thanked the initiative's sponsor, Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer, for his valuable contribution in helping the award, which indicates his patriotic and religious sense and his response to encouraging society to memorise the Book of God Almighty.
Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk explained the efforts made and future visions to promote interaction with the Book of God Almighty in all segments of society. He congratulated the award winners, stressing that the Holy Quran Academy has become one of the finest institutions concerned with teaching the Holy Quran at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to sponsoring and organising annual Quranic competitions.
Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer, the sponsor of the award, emphasised the importance of this award, which is keen to encourage sons and daughters to memorise and learn the Holy Quran and intonation and to create virtuous values.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Muadhad bin Ali bin Howayden, Sheikh Muhammad bin Muadhad bin Saeed bin Howayden, and Sultan Mohammed Muadhad bin Howayden, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Madam, honoured the sponsor of the award, Muhammad Rashid bin Ghadeer, for supporting the award’s beneficiaries.
Sultan Matar bin Dalmouk, accompanied by Omar Al Shamsi, Director of the Establishment, also honoured the sponsor of the award, Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer, and the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Madam District, Sultan Mohammed Muadhad, by awarding them the Foundation’s shield.
