Sharjah 24: The emergency and crisis teams in Sharjah faced unprecedented weather conditions, experiencing rainfall not seen in over 75 years. In response, all available resources and energies were mobilised to assist the public and manage the extensive water accumulation to restore normalcy.
Various authorities, including the Sharjah Police General Command, Civil Defence, and the emirate's municipalities, swiftly deployed teams to address the challenges posed by the low-pressure weather system. To effectively manage water extraction and discharge, Sharjah City Municipality provided 450 tankers, 220 mobile pumps, and robust dam pumps. Additionally, proactive measures such as cleaning and maintaining drainage apertures were undertaken before the onset of adverse weather conditions, with 70 basins set up to collect rainwater directly from pumping and discharging stations.

A total of 65 patrols were deployed to fulfill community and humanitarian responsibilities arising from weather-related changes. These patrols focused on assisting stranded individuals, towing stalled vehicles, and providing aid to families affected by the heavy rains.

Emergency teams remained operational 24/7, diligently working to clear rainwater accumulations throughout the city, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents amidst the challenging weather conditions.
