SRER launches program for compassion during Ramadan

Sharjah24: As an embodiment of the principles of compassion and solidarity, and within its strategies aimed at promoting concepts of charity and volunteer work among its employees, Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has prepared a comprehensive program during the holy month of Ramadan, consisting of a series of charitable initiatives, to help those in need. Every Ramadan, the department is keen to organize and launch initiatives that enhance its social and humanitarian role, in addition to its main role in promoting economic development in Sharjah and the UAE.
The series of initiatives included organizing a daily iftar for 100 people, with a total of 3,000 iftar meals throughout the holy month of Ramadan, inside a Ramadan tent near “Ala'aber Mosque” in the emirate. In addition, and in cooperation with Sharjah Charity International, 1,000 iftar meals were distributed in “Al-Musalla” area in Sharjah. In cooperation with Sharjah Social Services Department in Kalba, a total of 3,000 iftar meals were also distributed throughout the holy month, which are 100 daily meals.cMoreover, and in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs in the city of “Kalba”, 7,000 “Ramadan Meer” were distributed for the eligible public service employees in the department. All in all, the iftar meals distributed by the department throughout Ramadan has reached 7,000 meals.

Moreover, and in cooperation with the Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), the Eid clothing initiative was launched, and it included providing eid needs and clothing for 30 children and affluent families. This initiative aims to diversify the joy in people's hearts, enhance commmunity cooperation, and to spread solidarity and compassion in the society.

For his part, His Excellency Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, expressed his appreciation to the department’s employees who were keen to participate in distributing the iftar meals. H.E also stated that this program is part of the department’s initiatives to develop the society, and spread the spirit of solidarity and interdependence among all its members. Al-Shamsi added, “An initiative like this, stems from the keenness of Sharjah Government and our Department to continue the sustainable development, which is not limited to economic development only, it rather extends to effective contribution to achieving social development, and improving the standard of living, in order to achieve development in its broad sense”.
