SCI implements relief aid for rain-affected residents in Kalba

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has taken immediate action to assist the residents of Kalba who have been severely affected by the recent rain, resulting in significant damages. Working closely with various authorities, including the Sharjah Police General Command, Sharjah Civil Defence General Directorate, National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority, Department of Human Services, and Emergency Housing Department, the association teams successfully delivered essential assistance to the residents affected by the situation.

The relief priorities were provided to them at their temporary housing locations in the areas of Al Tala’a, Al Masalla, and Al Baraha.

Nasser Masoud Bilal, Director of the Charity Department in Kalba, emphasised the SCI's dedication to supporting those in need. Their main priority is to provide warmth and comfort to 150 families who have been affected by distributing heavy blankets. Additionally, they are also working tirelessly to ensure that nearly 3000 meals are supplied to those in need. These aids are crucial for families whose homes were damaged, highlighting the urgent need for assistance and support.

He emphasised that the association has a well-prepared emergency action plan in place and its teams are ready to handle the expected conditions during the winter season every year.

Masoud Bilal emphasised the importance of closely monitoring the situation and carefully assessing the necessary measures to support those affected in overcoming this crisis. He highlighted the ongoing collaboration with relevant authorities to identify measures that can be implemented to promote stability and ensure the well-being of the community, showcasing the SCI's dedication to fulfilling its social responsibility.
