Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) has launched an impressive initiative, the "Sanad" banking card, which is distributed to all beneficiaries of social assistance, totaling 10,981 beneficiaries. This card allows beneficiaries to receive discounts on various purchases.
The card offers discounts and benefits on its services and products for the benefit of cardholders from all categories of beneficiaries of social security, which are divided into 5 groups encompassing 15 categories. These categories include "financial support for the disabled," "healthcare support," "women's support," "childcare support," and the last group is dedicated to support for individuals with special social circumstances.
The Community Solidarity Department, within the Social Services Department, enters into agreements with institutions and commercial companies that enable "Sanad" cardholders to obtain discounts on their various purchases. These agreements are renewed annually, especially since they play a major role in providing financial support.
Building on this, Hessa Al-Hammadi, the Director of the Community Solidarity Department, affirmed hat the number of companies that signed agreements in the past year 2023 was 86 companies and institutions from various sectors, empasised that they strive to increase the number of partners, which brings happiness to "Sanad" cardholders.
The purpose of "Sanad," launched in 2017, is to assist the department's affiliates in purchasing and providing the necessities and items they need, and to improve their living standards. Therefore, we are keen on increasing the number of contributing entities through agreements between the Social Services Department and its various partners, including government entities and private institutions, in order to provide beneficiaries with diverse options, benefits, and discounts on services, products, and facilities.
