Sharjah 24: Sharjah Department of Public Works, in cooperation with Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), organised a workshop on the lessons learned applying security and safety standards to 10 different projects. The workshop was presented by the work teams in the department that contributed to the completion of these projects.
The workshop was held in Sharjah Department of Public Works main building in Nasiriyah, in appreciation of the workers’ efforts, and to strengthen the bonds of institutional cooperation, the development of joint work, and the celebration of their pivotal role in the completion of the department’s strategic projects. 

The most prominent projects included the higher education building at the Academy of Police Sciences, Al Suyoh Public Park, Al Suyoh Women’s Park, Al Dhaid University, Kalba University, Victoria School in the Central Region, and others.

The lecturers stressed that the human element is the driving force behind achieving the greatest possible successes, as every achievement stems from the experiences of the highly talented and motivated staff who are the basis of the department’s success.
 
The workshop comes within the department’s strategy for appreciating fruitful achievements and benefiting from experiences and outstanding performance, given that the human factor is the true investment in individual and collective skills. 

The department aspires to contribute to encouraging and strengthening the spirit of creativity and innovation, and motivating employees and workers to adopt constructive ideas and follow the fruitful work approach that leads to development. 

During the workshop, the modern systems and the safety guide recently issued by the department in implementing projects were reviewed, and attendees praised the department’s role in preparing these buildings according to the highest safety standards.
