SEWA introduces a proactive service in collaboration with SCM

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA), in cooperation with the Sharjah City Municipality (SCM), has introduced a convenient new service that allows for the issuance of a no-objection certificate and account closure without the hassle of submitting extra applications or documents.

Once the subscriber receives a no-objection letter from the municipality to vacate the property, an electronic request is automatically generated in the authority's system to make the no-objection certificate. After that, the authority requests the international bank account number (IBAN), and after they have it, the deposit is sent to the customer's bank account.

Hussein Al-Askar, Director of the Customer Service Department stressed that the launch of this proactive service falls within the framework of the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. It reflects the Authority's commitment to integrating institutional work and advancing digital transformation, with a focus on delivering top-notch services to customers.

He highlighted the benefits of this service, emphasising how it will streamline procedures, save time and effort for customers, boost confidence in government services, increase customer satisfaction, and attract investors to work in Sharjah.
