Sharjah24: Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, attended an informative lecture about the professional compassion mental stress and self-care." The lecture was organised by the Social Support Centre and the Employee Happiness Branch in collaboration with the Sharjah International Centre for Holistic Medicine and took place at the Sustainability Hall within the SP’s Building.
The event was attended by several Departmental Directors, heads of departments , officers, and staff members, including female police personnel. This lecture coincided with World Mental Health Day, celebrated globally on October 19th each year.
It also aligns with the strategic approach of the Sharjah Police to enhance the mental and overall well-being of its personnel, providing them with a positive work environment that contributes to job satisfaction and increased productivity.
Several issues in the field of clinical psychology were discussed in the lecture, which was delivered by Dr. Saad Omar al Khanbashi, Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychology in the Behavioral Sciences Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC).
The lecture also included medical platforms that provide a package of medical services to Sharjah Police members.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Dr. Saad Omar al Khanbashi was honoured in recognition of sharing his experience in the field of clinical psychology, alongside with the medical team of the platforms, in appreciation of their efforts in achieving the lecture’s objectives.
