Sharjah24: The inaugural edition of the Youth Volleyball League, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council, saw the youth team of Al-Ahli clinch the championship title. Following closely, Al-Ain's team secured second place, Sharjah's team took the third spot, and Al-Wasl's team finished in fourth. This successful tournament featured the participation of 60 players representing these four teams.
The matches were held at Meliha Club's hall. Sharjah's team comprised 12 players from six different clubs, namely Meliha, Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Ittihad Kalba, and Al Madam.
One notable outcome of the tournament was the selection of four players to join the preparatory camp for the UAE national youth team.
Expressing his delight, Mohammed Obaid Al-Hassan, the Director of the Sports and Development Affairs Department at the Council, celebrated the achievements of the first-ever national-level edition of the tournament. Ten matches were played in a single day, with the Al-Ahli youth team emerging as the champions.
