Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) praised Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club for obtaining the intellectual property certificate in the "SDG Partnership Guidebook", from the Ministry of Economy, registered in the name of Mleiha Club in the Department of Trademarks and Intellectual Works, which is a new addition to the club in establishing a culture of sustainability and strategic partnerships.
This came during the reception of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of SSC, to the club’s delegation at the council’s headquarters, in the presence of His Excellency Muhammad Sultan Al Khasouni, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors; Maryam Youssef Al Hosani, Director of the Strategic Planning and Performance Department at SSC and Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council Award for Sustainability; and a number of officials and employees of SSC and Mleiha Club.
His Excellency Al Hazami congratulated Mleiha club for the distinguished work and the valuable testimony that is in favour of promoting the culture of sustainability, for which the Council launched the Sustainability Award with the participation of all sports and specialised clubs in Sharjah, which constitutes an aspect of progress.
His Excellency Al Hazami praised Al Khasouni efforts and great administrative expertise, which reflects positively on the club.
In turn, the Mleiha delegation, headed by Al Khasouni, thanked and appreciated Sharjah Sports Council for their administrative vision, and the continuous directives that encourage the club’s efforts, indicating that the certificate reflects the club’s vision of caring for sustainability and spreading its culture among the different groups of the local community, and launching initiatives such as the Sustainability Library initiative and others.
Al Khassouni concluded by confirming the club's keenness to implement best practices in the sports field under the umbrella of SSC.
