Sharjah Sports Council announces winners of summer program

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) announced the winners of the "Our Holiday Is Different" sports summer program during a lovely ceremony held at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah. Twenty groups and organisations took part in the ninth edition of this program, which ran from July 10 to August 3. Both male and female age ranges from 7 to 12 and 13 to 17 were included by the program.
Following the rendition of the UAE national anthem and recital of some verses from the holy Quran, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Council delivered a speech. The attendees watched a presentation of the activities witnessed in the ninth edition of sports summer program. Then the partners and supporters were honoured.

The event also witnessed the honouring of the members of the organising committee of the Sharjah Sports Summer, and then the winners in the first places were also honoured.

In his remarks, His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami lauded the summer program's achievements and emphasised that the occasion embodies one of the most significant visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, promoting concepts of spending leisure time in a productive way to prepare a generation capable of achieving various successes in different areas. 

He thanked all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the Council’s work teams, as well as the institutions, sponsors and supporters, stressing that the emerged talents would receive the Council’s attention and care.

Yasser Omar Al Dokhi lauded the event's success, stressing that 2,781 members participated, representing 20 clubs and institutions, with an increase of 531 participants from the previous year.
