Sharjah 24: The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department of Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) revealed that the "one-day test" initiative, launched two weeks ago, and aims to facilitate the procedures for obtaining "initial and city" driving licences for national service recruits and high school graduates, attracted 194 trainees.
Colonel Khaled Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, explained that the "one-day test" initiative sought to facilitate procedures by merging tests for obtaining the "initial and city" licences on the same day.
Colonel Khaled Mohammed Al Kai pointed out that the initiative attracted 194 trainees at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, within two weeks of the launch of the initiative. He also urged those interested to call (901) to obtain more information and general inquiries.
It is noteworthy that the "one-day test" initiative enables students and national service recruits to complete their application in a record time that does not exceed one work day.
The service is provided in both electronic and physical stages. The electronic stage does not require physical attendance; whereas it could be completed through the application of the Ministry of Interior (MOI).
It includes opening a file for issuing a new driver's licence, attending theoretical classes, and after passing the theoretical test electronically. The second stage requires physical attendance, whereas it includes practical training sessions. The final exam date (initial and civil) will be for one day instead of several days.
