Sharjah 24: The "one-day test" initiative was launched by the Vehicles and Drivers Licencing Department of the Sharjah Police General Command to attract national service recruits and high school graduates by requiring them to take both the "initial and city" driving licence tests on the same day.
The Sharjah Police is launching this programme as part of its mission to increase public satisfaction.

Lt. Col. Khaled Mohammad Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licencing Department at Sharjah Police, recently spoke about the Department's commitment to improving its services to the public and fostering smart transformation. According to Colonel Al Kai, the new programme has already begun and will run through the end of September.

He elaborated, "The first phase will be conducted electronically, with no need for your physical presence. The Ministry of the Interior (MOI) is responsible for making this happen.”

National service recruits and high school graduates are encouraged by Sharjah Police to take advantage of the programme, which runs through the end of September 2023 and streamlines the process of getting a driver's licence.
