Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the development and maintenance works in the Pearl Public Park in Khorfakkan.
Engineer Abdullah Al Tunaiji, Director of the Branches Department at the Sharjah Department of Public Works, affirmed that the completion of the development and maintenance project of Pearl Public Park in Khorfakkan falls within the department’s development plan that meet the needs of the municipal councils to provide a decent life for citizens and residents.
The works included replacing the net fence of the main football stadium with a height of 6 meters and a length of 320 meters, and the supply and installation of 4 new lighting poles for the stadium with high capacity equipped with 50 searchlights for lighting, as well as replacing the natural grass with European-made artificial grass, 6 cm high and with an area of 1620 square meters dedicated to football fields in the reserve stadium, with the replacement of the net fence with another with a height of 6 meters and a length of 162 meters, in addition to providing it with 8 lighting poles and 28 searchlights.
The works also included the construction of a building for men's and women's toilets covering 55 square meters, and the maintenance of the entire outer garden wall with a length of 600 meters, with the replacement of the main gates with 4 gates, as well as all lighting poles in the garden with the replacement of 41 lighting searchlights.
Comprehensive maintenance of the existing guard room was also carried out, including internal and external paint works, doors and windows, as well as toilets and the entire store, with the replacement of lighting units and toilet supplies .
The Pearl Park is located on an area of 15,000 square meters and includes children's play areas, playgrounds, seating areas and all services.
