Sharjah 24: In line with the holy month of Ramadan, the Sharjah Department of Public Works has launched an extensive maintenance project at the Lulu'iyah Mosque. The goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for worshippers while enhancing the overall quality of services at the mosque.

The maintenance work involved freshening up both the inside and outside of the mosque by repainting it with high-quality materials that will last longer and resist wear from the weather. The ceilings were replaced to improve insulation, making the space quieter and more comfortable. New ceramic tiles were added to the walls and floors, covering 850 square meters, which not only look great but are also easy to clean.

To improve practical facilities, the mosque's wooden doors and storage cabinets were renovated for better use. The aluminum windows and doors were also given attention to make them more durable against the weather and improve their insulation properties.

In addition, the air conditioning and lighting systems received upgrades. Ten air conditioning units were thoroughly serviced to ensure they work efficiently. Twelve new energy-saving lights replaced older ones, and 35 moisture-resistant outdoor spotlights were installed to brighten the mosque's exterior, improving visibility at night and ensuring the safety of worshippers.

The mosque also saw upgrades to its sound and security systems. The internal audio system was updated to ensure everyone can hear prayers and sermons clearly. New surveillance cameras were added for better security, and screens were set up in the women’s prayer area to help them follow along with sermons and lectures.

The department emphasizes that these efforts are part of its larger vision to upgrade mosques according to the highest standards. This dedication aims to provide a perfect space for worship, ensure the comfort of visitors, and support projects that strengthen places of worship throughout the emirate.
