Sharjah24: The Contracts Department of the Sharjah Public Works Department (SPWD) recently held seven virtual sessions and workshops for companies and department employees from the beginning of the year until April, as part of its efforts to simplify the contractual relationship in the emirate and enhance communication channels with the department's strategic partners. More than 18 other virtual remote workshops will also be organised during the year.
Fatima Hassan, Director of Building Contracts Department, stressed the importance of the strategic relationship that brings the department together with the strategic partners, and the department's keenness to enhance competitive advantages by managing the relationship with them effectively and transparently, in order to ensure risk management and face challenges in an ability, and achieve the sustainability of reconstruction operations and reduce costs, and in a way that consolidates happiness of dealers and all concerned.
The Director of the Building Contracts Department indicated the importance of these workshops attended by more than 30 companies registered in the department to improve contractual performance and save public money, stressing that the department contributed an amount of one and a half million dirhams during the first quarter in its projects after following the methods of value engineering and clarifying the ways of the relationship and contractual between the two parties.
