The department has received two properties as endowments. The first is a commercial building located in the Muwaileh area, consisting of a ground floor and three additional floors. The second is a residential building in the Al Nasseriya area, comprising a ground floor and first floor. The donors have requested that the endowments be registered in their names in the official documents, with the administration entrusted to the Awqaf Department.
Taleb Ibrahim Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Awqaf in Sharjah, highlighted that the proceeds generated from these endowments will be allocated to various charitable causes. The department diligently ensures the fulfillment of the donors' conditions, thus realising the objectives of Islamic law and adhering to the provisions of Law No. 8 of 2018 concerning endowments in Sharjah. To uphold transparency and accuracy, the department provides detailed financial reports to the donors on an annual basis.
Expressing his deep appreciation and gratitude, Al Marri acknowledged the generosity of individuals who selflessly contribute their wealth to philanthropic endeavours, thereby serving the cause of endowments and benefiting the wider community. Endowments represent an everlasting form of charitable giving, perpetually benefiting individuals, in alignment with the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Furthermore, endowments open new horizons for charitable and developmental initiatives, creating a virtuous cycle of goodness that enriches both individuals and society as a whole.
