Sharjah24 : The Awqaf Department organized a field volunteer opportunity for its employees, in cooperation with the Sharjah Volunteer Center, to mark Zayed Humanitarian Day, which the United Arab Emirates marks on the 19th of Ramadan each year, in commemoration of the death of the founding father of the UAE and the builder of its renaissance, the late Sheikh Zayed. Through its initiative, the Department was keen to involve all its employees in addition to volunteers from the community by distributing Iftar meals to workers and passersby in order to enhance the concept of social responsibility.

Talib Ibrahim Al Marri Director General of the Department confirmed that Zayed Humanitarian Day embodies the noble values and lofty principles that were instilled by the founding father.
