Sharjah24: Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, honored the Awqaf Department for winning the third place in the Sharjah Volunteer Work Award , in recognition of its outstanding efforts and contributions in supporting the volunteer work process in society.
Director General of the Department, His Excellency Talib Al-Marri, stated that "this honor reflects the great appreciation and interest that the Sharjah government attaches to supporting the volunteer work system, and shows the extent of their interest by motivating entities, institutions, and individuals to participate in instilling this value in the hearts of the members of society."
He said, "We seek to advance within the Department on the approach of our wise government, which plays a pioneering role in encouraging the spirit of giving and humanity, until the United Arab Emirates has become an honorable global role model."
