Sharjah24: "Aman Ya Beladi" produced by the Sharjah Police Media and Public Relations Department, featured social support and family development programmes. The Social Support Centre’s Director of Awareness, Major Mani’ Ali Al Naqbi, talked about the centre’s main duties and challenges in addressing family and social concerns. The centre addresses family risks including crime and delinquency through early intervention with various socioeconomic groupings. They use several programmes to reduce family issues and enhance societal harmony.
The programme also hosted Supreme Council for Family Affairs Family Development Department psychiatrist and family counsellor Dr Amal Al-Namir. She outlined the department's goals, areas of attention, and the hazards to families and children from technology and social media. Dr Al-Namir stressed parental control over children's content. She also noted media's role in promoting family unity and helping the Family Development Department and other social institutions.
Lieutenant Nawaf Al Harmoudi, an information systems technician from the Sharjah Police Investigations and Criminal Investigations Department, shared thoughts through phone interview. He highlighted the risks to children and minors from harmful content on social media and modern technology. Lieutenant Al Harmoudi advised parents to monitor their children's media consumption. He told the public that the Sharjah Police responds to complaints and observations about these difficulties and is ready to help, emphasising the necessity of reporting any concerns to the authorities for action.
