Sharjah 24: The second session of the "Diploma of the Arab Parliament for the Child for Parliamentary Work Skills" was formally inaugurated this morning, with Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) members in attendance. The University of Sharjah's Institute for Continuing Education and Professional Development provides training.
The diploma is being carried out with the support of His Highness Prince Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in collaboration with the Arab Parliament for Children, an Arab League institution, and the University of Sharjah (UoS).
The diploma involves 68 students from the following Arab countries: the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, and Mauritania.
Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, Prof. Dr Qutaiba Hamid, Deputy Director of the University of Sharjah for Medical and Health Sciences Faculty Affairs and Dean of the Medicine Faculty, and Dr Radi Al-Zubaidi, Director of the University of Sharjah's Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, spoke at the event.
The course schedule contains 110 training hours per week on Friday and Saturday.
