Sharjah24:The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) , in its first session of its third term , will elect its president and two deputies from children of the Arab world, in the session that will be held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on 25th of February.
According to the statute of the Arab Parliament for the Child, the oldest member will preside at the beginning of the session, being the first in the third term of the parliament’s work, which witnesses the entry of new members, after the Arab countries completed the candidacy of their children, two males and two females.
At the beginning of the session, the children will be invited to elect new Speaker of Parliament, First Deputy and Second Deputy.
In this regard, His Excellency Ayman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for Children, affirmed that 25th of February will constitute a significant event for the children by allowing those who represent them in parliament to meet under their parliamentary dome.
He pointed out that the General Secretariat of Parliament has prepared its readiness to receive Arab children in Sharjah to hold their first session of the third term.
Al-Barout explained that the Arab Parliament for the Child, since its inauguration in April of 2019, continues its movement to express the role of children in talking about their needs and issues that serve children in all Arab countries, pointing out that Arab children have revealed their capabilities in the previous sessions and they discussed many topics affecting their childhood in order to achieve a bright future for them .
