Sharjah24: The Board of Trustees for the Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi Award for Sports Excellence started its meetings under the chairmanship of Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, at the Sharjah Sports Council's offices, where the council distributed tasks and responsibilities among its members.

After reviewing its articles, the award's new corporate identity was considered, and its statute was then approved. Scheduling for the introduction of the new award, which will take the place of the previous Sharjah Family Sports Award, was also discussed.

The council delegated roles and responsibilities to its members, and Al-Hazami emphasised the importance of giving the inaugural session plenty of time and effort so that it can serve as a foundation for future meetings, particularly in light of the award's new name and broader scope, which now recognises outstanding athletes from all fields.
