Sharjah 24: In the sixth edition of the Sharjah Labour Sports Tournament, held in the playgrounds of the Sharjah National Park, the Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority collaborated with the Sharjah Sports Council and the organising company, Reach Target Sports Services.
With the intention of enabling and organising sporting activities for the labour category in the Emirate of Sharjah, Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman, Labour Standards Development Authority (LSDA), told “Sharjah 24” that the tournament is being held under the auspices and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
According to Al Qaseer, more than 102 teams from various government and commercial institutions would compete with over 2,000 players in this year's tournament. These groups compete in a wide variety of sports, including football, cricket, hockey, basketball, and volleyball.
At the end of his speech, he thanked and wished the best for all of the tournament's strategic partners and supporters.
