Sharjah 24: His Excellency Salem Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority (SLSDA), stated that SLSDA is currently preparing to launch the fourth edition of Sharjah Labour Sports Tournament in early February, thanking all the strategic partners.
SLSDA concluded with great success the activities of the third edition of Sharjah Labour Sports Tournament, held at the stadiums of the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) in the Sharjah National Park, and was organised in cooperation with SSC and Reach Target Company for Sports Services.
The tournament witnessed 5 games, 120 teams, 30 for football, 21 for basket, 33 for cricket, 21 for volleyball, and 15 for hockey, representing government departments and private sector companies in the Emirate, with the aim of promoting labours’ sports and raising the level of physical fitness for workers. In addition, to raising awareness on the importance of sport as a way of life, within the framework of SLSDA’s endeavour to enhance the work environment.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, His Excellency Chairman of SLSDA, expressed great thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for the support to all segments of society, and Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), continuous follow-up and to SSC and all the strategic partners and companies that lead to the success of the third edition.
His Excellency added that SLSDA currently is preparing for the fourth edition of the labours’ tournament, which will start in early February.
