Sharjah24: Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) is taking part in the sixth session of the National Week campaign to stop bullying in schools. The campaign was started in UAE by the Ministry of Education with the tagline "With Kindness, We Make the Difference," runs from November 14 to November 20.
The training in the UAE aims to address and prevent all forms of social bullying. It is sponsored by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and partners in federal and international institutions.

The invitation to participate came because the Department of Social Services in Sharjah is one of the direct stakeholders in addressing this phenomenon through its various departments, which are based on caring for all members of society and all age groups.

The Department, represented by the Department of Social Education, provides a package of educational and awareness programs on the issue of bullying for four categories: students from the second cycle 14-17 years old, parents, teaching staff, and employees of the Social Services Department. The program included a number of workshops and lectures presented by specialists from the Social Education Department.

Maryam Al-Qaseer, Director of the Social Education Department, said that the level of bullying in the UAE has not reached the phenomenon stage, but is still at an acceptable rate of 19%, based on the statistics of the Ministry of Education. However, we must work regularly and systematically to resist bullying, but rather to eliminate it, especially in the school environment.
