Saeed Mosbeh Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, addressed the objectives of Rakaez, which are promoting positive values and fighting negative behaviors using innovative ways suitable for the current generation. In addition, it hosted selected speakers locally and from abroad for the first time. The Chairman of the SEC praised the great efforts of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, which translated into significant initiatives that led to sustainable education.
In her speech, Mahra Al Mutaiwee, Director of the Regional Center for Educational Planning in Sharjah, addressed the importance of science in an integrated and comprehensive manner to build the youth using knowledge, emphasizing that building the new generation is by raising them on national values, principles and lofty morals, and by providing them with skills and knowledge that contribute to building their personalities in an integrated manner.
Dr. Reda El Sayed Hegazy, Egyptian Minister of Education, discussed digital transformation and the efforts to prepare schools to be innovative by integrating technology and training students, along with the curricula that must be transformed into integrated and multidisciplinary curricula.
He also focused on the importance of changing the idea of traditional education, and transforming it into a constant education based on innovation, creativity focusing on learning outcomes and assessment, in addition to transformational and inspirational leadership.
Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education of Bahrain, addressed the definition of sustainable education, the developments and challenges it faces, the skills that sustainable education aims to develop, and the appropriate innovative education model, referring to the experience of Bahrain in preparing teachers, which contributed to building a badge of knowledgeable learners.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi honored the two guests of honour: Dr. Reda Al Sayed Hegazy, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, along with the conference partners and sponsors.
The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah also visited the exhibition held on the sidelines, which included a set of educational initiatives. He toured the exhibition and listened to a detailed explanation from the participants about their work and the various scientific research by participating institutions.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education; Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Dr. Muhadtha Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and several officials.
