ER Culture Department organises a cultural evening in Shis

Sharjah 24: The Department of Culture in the Eastern Region organised, on Friday in the Shis area of Khorfakkan, a cultural programme, which included many theatrical, folklore,and heritage activities, in cooperation with Governor of Shis.

Present at the event were Khamis Al Suwaidi, Advisor in His Highness the Ruler's Office; Dr. Sulaiman bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Department of Municipal Affairs in Sharjah; Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council; and Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Deputy Goveror of Shis, and a crowd of officials and people of the area.

Speaking to “Sharjah 24”, Mohammed Al Suwaiji, Director of the Eastern Region’s Department of Culture, said that "cultural evening" for the month of November includes 59 programmes in various cities of the Eastern Region.

He added that the event covered an array of theatrical performances, traditional songs, folklore and songs, in addition to many workshops and activities for children, including drawing and colouring, as well as a distinguished art exhibition.
