Sharjah 24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalba, attended the events of the second cultural caravan of the year on Saturday in Nahw of Khorfakkan.
The Eastern Region branch of the Sharjah Department of Culture organised the event under the theme "Journey into Memory: Inspiring Values."

Abdullah Khalfan Al Naqbi, Wali of Nahwa, was present at the event, accompanied by Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Deputy Wali of Shees, and Rashid Al Zaabi, Director of the Eastern Region branch of the Department of Culture, along with a number of officials and residents from Nahwa.

The Department of Culture's head of the Khorfakkan Literary Council, Ahmed Saeed Al Naqbi, emphassed that the department has been organising cultural caravans since 1997 as a crucial initiative to raise awareness and enrich knowledge among various community segments.

He detailed that the caravan's journey commenced in Shees and progressed to Nahwa, showcasing a variety of activities, including a photography exhibition titled "Khorfakkan: Bride of the Eastern Coast."

The caravan featured a range of artistic and educational workshops, folkloric performances by the Mazari's War Band, and a play entitled "World of Imagination." The event wrapped up with a captivating poetry evening showcasing the talents of poetess Majda Al Jarrah.
