Sharjah 24: Alia Al Zaabi, General Coordinator of the Khorfakkan Theatre Festival, confirmed that the ninth edition of the festival attracted thousands of visitors throughout the day to enjoy its various artistic performances held in Khorfakkan Park.
The Theatre Department of the Department of Culture organised, on Saturday, the performances and events of the Khorfakkan Theatre Festival in its ninth edition, in Khorfakkan Park overlooking the Resistance Monument and the flagpole.
Al Zaabi said that the new edition was filled with many carnival activities, theatrical performances, and artistic competitions.
She added that the festival began with a massive artistic march, which included the participation of popular arts groups from the UAE, Egypt, Oman, India, South Africa, and other countries.
She indicated to “Sharjah 24,” that the festival’s programme included many distinctive theatrical performances on the festival’s stages, including short plays, scout theatre, and children’s theatre.
She explained that many artistic workshops were held on the sidelines of the festival, and special competitions for the most beautiful car in the festival, the festival's bride, the festival's princess, and other competitions.
