Sharjah 24: Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Deputy Governor of Shis, praised the efforts of the Department of Culture in organising cultural, artistic and heritage events in various cities and regions of Sharjah to enhance social cohesion and consolidates the popular heritage.
Expressing happiness at the organisation of the programme, Al Naqbi told to “Sharjah 24” that the programme brought joy and happiness to the people of the region due to the richness of its activities, which varied between culture, arts and heritage.
He stressed that such programmes play a prominent role in consolidating the folklore among the younger generations, as well as enhancing societal cohesion among the people, as they attract many visitors from other regions.
He highlighted the importance of the activities organised by the department in enhancing tourism returns at the same time, especially in the area of Shis, which a tourist attraction due to its beautiful nature.
