Sharjah24: The Department of Culture (DC) in the Eastern Region organized a cultural session entitled "Poetic Readings ... Elegy in Sheikh Khalifa", at the Literary Council of Khorfakkan. Sharjah 24 news website offered a real window to get close to the event by interviewing Shamsa Al Mazrouei, official of the Wadi Al-Helou office in the Department of Culture who spared no efforts in shedding light on the event.
Shamsa Al Mazrouei, stated that the session held at the headquarters of the Literary Council of Khorfakkan, with the aim of sparking light on the exploits of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, the leader of empowerment, may his soul rest in peace.
She explained in statements to Sharjah 24 that a number of poets participated in the session, included an interactive exhibition by the artist, Hiyam Al Zarouni, during which she highlighted an artistic painting consisting of a living portrait of the deceased.
The poets Ahmed Al-Washahi, Abdullah Al-Dar’i, and Hamid Al-Dar’i competed in reciting patriotic poems that spark light on the bright history of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, may God have mercy on him. A number of officials and representatives of government departments, employees of the Department of Culture and a crowd of Khorfakkan residents participated in the session.
