Sharjah24: The first Sharjah Fitness Championship took place on October 15, 2022, in the Al Jada neighbourhood of Sharjah. A total of 120 athletes from 40 teams took part in the championship. The Sharjah Sports Council put on the competition as a way to get more people in the city to be active.

At the closing ceremony, medal winners were given their trophies by Sheikh Tariq bin Faisal Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Emirates Federation for Body Building and Fitness, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, among others.
