Sharjah24 : Under the patronage of Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi Minister of Culture and Youth, President of Zayed University (ZU), the University announced its preparation to celebrate the graduation ceremony of the 19th and 20th Cohort of Female undergraduates, 9th and 10th Cohorts of Male undergraduates and selected cohorts of Master graduates, which will be taking place in person at the North Hall of the Dubai Exhibition Center at EXPO 2020 from the 14th to the 16th of March, 2022.
The class of ‘Future Makers’ graduation ceremony, stages the students’ aspirations to contribute to UAE’s nationwide preparations towards the ‘Next 50’ and how they interpret UAE’s achievements as a motivational example for themselves to expand their knowledge and harness new skills and experiences to be capable of leading their nations into a brighter future.

“Our Future Makers have the power to build a better world and shape the future and shall always remain a source of pride for the UAE - their continuous efforts and successes contribute to preparing the nation for the journey that lays ahead over the next 50 years,” H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, said. “Hosting the graduation at the world’s greatest show, EXPO 2020 Dubai, gives our graduates an opportunity to solely experience the true meaning of ‘connecting minds and creating the future’ as the youth of our nation are the key elements to progress and prosperity, in all aspects and various fields of the modern and futuristic world.”

Unlike other graduating classes, the 2022 ‘Class of Future Makers’ faced unusual circumstances, which they overcame with the help of their families, peers, and the ZU Community at large. They will underline how Zayed University helped pave the road ahead of them, over the past two years, so they can leave their own mark towards the UAE’s next 50.

His Excellency Hassan Al Najjar, University Council Member and President of the ZU Alumni Association, said: “This is an exceptional batch as they proclaimed an unprecedented title to march forward as ambassadors of the future alongside our nation’s leadership and society towards the next the ‘Next 50’. They have been equipped with the knowledge, future proof skills and the ability to have foresight, and unparalleled opportunities in every possible aspect- all from a university that cherishes the name of the Nation's founder, Sheikh Zayed, to build a better future for humanity and maintain eternal prosperity.”

The graduation ceremony celebrates 3932 undergraduates and graduates across eight colleges, including 540 honor students, whom shall be celebrated separately in a VVIP ceremony held on March 16th at the same location.

Zayed University’s growing number of graduates year on year reflects the University’s success in building enrollment and retention. The public will be invited to attend the ceremony virtually through live streaming platforms and will be announced in the coming days so that all will be allowed to witness one of the University’s annual greatest spotlights.
