IDEATHON 2022 is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork. The initiative also encourages the application of design thinking skills to address worldwide challenges faced by students brought about by COVID-19 and coming up with solutions on re-imagining the application of technology towards the education & learning experience.
The challenge requires students to develop cohesive plans that ensures that the quality and effectiveness of the learning experience is enhanced whilst respecting the criteria laid out for the competition such as making detailing the required resources, measuring of feasibility and effectiveness, and potential limitations.
To participate, individuals will need to form teams of 3 who are either students who are in their final years of high school or who are recent high school graduates of the last two years. Teams will be required to work collaboratively with dedicated mentors from Zayed University who will support the students and provide guidance throughout the competition which lasts until the 28th of February 2022.
The final evaluation criteria will assess development process of concepts, level of detail, creativity, innovation, practicality, feasibility, individual contribution, team dynamics and finally, the overall quality and delivery of the pitch presentation.
Winners will be announced on the 7th March and the winning team will be awarded a $5,000 USD prize.
