Sharjah 24: University of Sharjah (UoS) students participated in the UAE Innovation Month with new innovative projects that help people with disabilities in their daily lives, and showcased modern designs that enable them to reach Mars.
Mohammed Jamal Al Hallaq from the College of Engineering at the UoS, stated that he is participating in the activities of the UAE Innovation Month with a project that translates hand movements into written letters and helps people with disabilities to communicate.
Malek Omar from the College of Dentistry at the UoS, indicated that the project he participated in is a short video explaining the procedures that take place inside the x-ray room to people with disabilities, specifically for the hearing impaired, in order to get rid of the fears of people who have not previously visited this room.
Ghosoun Madani, a graduate from the College of Engineering at UoS, confirmed that the project she participated in during the UAE Innovation Month is a design for the first arrival on the surface of Mars, where the nature of the planet was studied and a design suitable for Mars was made.
