Sharjah24: Al Qasimia University (AQU) concluded its enrichment course for its students in improving Arabic calligraphy skills, grammar and aesthetics, after it was held over eight weeks in the virtual halls of the Zoom programme.
An enrichment course to improve Arabic calligraphy skills in the field of the basics of script was offered to the Language Center students with the aim of developing their abilities and raising their proficiency in Arabic calligraphy skills.
More than twenty students of different nationalities participated in the session, and the course resulted in improving their writing skills, refining the talents of the distinguished among them, and increasing their motivation towards the love of the Arabic language and learning the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy.
During the course, students' benefits were supported by sharing supportive electronic software that explains the steps for drawing the letter, and how to connect it with others.
Prof. Dr. Rashad Salem, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, praised the efforts of the Language Center and the distinguished programmes it offers for students, and pointed out the importance of the enrichment course in the field of Arabic calligraphy, its aesthetics and rules, which converge with the study objectives at Al Qasimia University.
