The visits reflected Al Hamriyah Municipality’s commitment to strengthening community engagement and interaction with educational institutions in the area, while promoting a culture of appreciation and recognition for those dedicated to education.

Teams made up of national municipal staff visited schools and engaged directly with teachers, expressing their appreciation for the valuable educational efforts they undertake.

The municipality said World Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of education and the esteemed position of teachers in Emirati society. Teachers are among the key pillars of building people and preparing generations capable of continuing the UAE’s development journey while reinforcing the values of knowledge, learning, belonging and responsibility.

During the visits, municipal teams conveyed Al Hamriyah Municipality’s greetings and appreciation to teachers, recognising their continued efforts in supporting students, developing their abilities and enhancing their skills to help build an aware, qualified generation capable of meeting the demands of the future.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah City Municipality, said celebrating World Teachers’ Day reflects appreciation for teachers and their fundamental role in serving society and developing people.

He stressed that teachers are essential partners in shaping the future, given the noble educational mission they carry and the significant responsibility they bear in shaping young people’s awareness and strengthening their national and social values.

Al Shamsi added: “In the UAE, we take pride in our teachers and value their leading role in shaping generations and instilling the values of knowledge, belonging and hard work. Our visit to Al Hamriyah schools on this occasion is a simple expression of thanks and appreciation to every teacher who continues to fulfil their mission with dedication and responsibility.”

He noted that Al Hamriyah Municipality is keen to participate in community and national occasions that have a direct impact on people’s lives. He added that strengthening communication with schools and educational institutions is one of the municipality’s community partnership efforts, helping support the educational environment and reinforce cooperation and integration among different institutions across society.

Al Shamsi concluded by congratulating all teachers in the UAE and wishing them continued success in fulfilling their mission. He emphasised that a teacher’s impact continues to resonate throughout society through the generations they help educate, guide and prepare for the future.
