The club organised three marine summer camps, attracting 186 participants. The Kalba camp, held in cooperation with the Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, welcomed 58 participants, while the Dibba Al-Hisn camp, organised in cooperation with the Dibba Al-Hisn Sports and Cultural Club, attracted 60 participants. The Khorfakkan camp hosted 68 participants.
The club also welcomed 23 members from Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, 20 members from Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, and 20 members from Khorfakkan Youth, bringing the total number of beneficiaries of the programme’s activities to 249 participants.
The programme featured a variety of marine, sports, and educational activities, including sailing, rowing, marine rescue, water sports, and diving. It also included first aid workshops, maritime safety awareness sessions, introductions to maritime heritage, and environmental and recreational activities.
These activities aimed to enhance participants’ skills and expand their knowledge in marine sports, safety practices, and related fields.
The camps were held with the support of the Ministry of Sports and the UAE Sports for All Federation, which provided prizes and gifts to participants as part of efforts to support community programmes that encourage physical activity and promote sports culture.
Sharjah International Marine Sports Club confirmed that the success of the camps resulted from cooperation and coordination with the Sharjah Sports Council, the Ministry of Sports, the UAE Sports for All Federation, and partner clubs and institutions, contributing to the achievement of the programme’s objectives.
