Sharjah 24: Kalba Sports and Cultural Club has concluded its "Sharjah Week" activities as part of the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme "A Holiday Reimagined", following a week of cultural, sports, and awareness activities that saw strong participation from members and their families.

The programme aimed to make effective use of the summer break, strengthen young participants’ connection to the Emirate of Sharjah, promote national identity values, and develop their skills in a safe and engaging educational environment.

Workshops promote identity, skills and personal development

The week featured a variety of educational and skills-based workshops, including a national identity session presented by the Social Services Department, which focused on enhancing values of belonging and pride in national identity.

Participants also attended workshops titled "Saving Money and Its Importance in Our Lives" and "Focus and Attention," which addressed financial awareness, money management, mental skills, and concentration development.

The Sharjah Family Development Foundation also organised two workshops, "Proud of the UAE" and "What If I Were You?", presented by Professors Nawal Al Dhaabi and Bushra Al Dhaabi. The sessions featured interactive activities and educational games that reinforced national and social values.

Field visits and activities enrich participants’ experience

The programme included a field trip to key tourist attractions in Kalba, organised in cooperation with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. The visit introduced participants to the city’s heritage and tourism landmarks while encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and positive use of leisure time.

The programme delivered more than 120 training sessions and over seven daily activities, covering sports, cultural, educational, and recreational fields. It also included heritage programmes and educational excursions across Sharjah.

Discovering sports talent through Summer Programme

As part of the club’s strategy to identify and develop sporting talent, technical committees selected more than 30 promising athletes who will be integrated into the club’s specialised teams, supporting the development of future competitors.

Parents praised the programme’s organisation and quality, highlighting its success in combining education, recreation, and skill development while strengthening children’s social and national values.

"Sports Week" to continue youth engagement

The organising committee confirmed that the "A Holiday Reimagined" programme continues to achieve its objectives by providing youth with enriching summer experiences that combine knowledge, sports, and entertainment.

Following the conclusion of "Sharjah Week," Kalba Sports Club is preparing to launch "Sports Week," featuring tournaments, competitions, and sporting activities designed to promote physical activity, encourage positive competition, and discover further sporting talents.
