DMA launches "Sharjah Deserves the Best"

Sharjah 24: Saif Abdullah Al Mazmi, Head of the Media Section at the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA), announced the launch of the "Sharjah Deserves the Best" campaign, in partnership with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau and in cooperation with the emirate's city municipalities and several other entities. The campaign runs from 12 July until the end of December, forming part of wider efforts to embed positive practices and safeguard the environment and civic appearance of the emirate.

Encouraging sustainable alternatives
The campaign targets various segments of society, particularly families, students and shopping mall visitors, encouraging them to adopt sustainable behaviours and use practical, eco-friendly alternatives, among them reusable, sustainable bags. Al Mazmi pointed to the important role that commercial establishments and retail outlets play in providing these alternatives and motivating consumers to use them, which contributes to a reduction in environmentally damaging practices.

A shared responsibility
Al Mazmi said protecting the environment is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation between individuals and institutions across the community. He stressed that Sharjah deserves better behaviour from everyone, which reflects community awareness and preserves the emirate's beauty and civic achievements.
