During his interview to “Sharjah 24,” Al Othmani stated that the award is based on three main pillars: future studies, societal issues and scientific development, and research into all types of cyber and traditional crimes, with the aim of raising awareness, combating crime, and prosecuting perpetrators.
400 research papers were submitted during the previous edition. The Academy is working to select the 200 papers that adhere to scientific research standards, from which 25 papers were chosen for their added value and significant security implications. Al Othmani also confirmed the participation of 14 Arab and international countries in the award.
The conference was attended by Major General Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director of the Academy, Brigadier General Abdullah Mohammed Al Yahyai, Deputy Director of the Academy for Academic and Training Affairs, Brigadier General Jamal Ahmed Al Shehhi, Deputy Director for Human Resources and Support Services, along with a number of department directors and their deputies, and representatives of visual and print media.
