Editorial
The editorial, which opens the new issue of Al Qawafi, is titled "The Evolution of the Arabic Poem and its Multiple Meanings." It states: Arabic poetry has witnessed significant transformations over a long period, contributing to its evolution and changing its forms and rhythms. This poetry, in general, continues to draw its splendor and brilliance from its authentic heritage, from which it originated and within which it has revolved since the pre-Islamic era of poetry to the present day.
Articles and interviews
Through the "Glimpse" section, an article on Andalusian muwashshahat (a type of Andalusian strophic poem) between poetic affiliation and lyrical identity, written by Dr Saeed Bakkour.
In the "Horizons" section, poet Dr Hanin Omar writes on the topic of "The City and Its Human Attributes."
The issue also includes an interview in the "Beginning of the Line" section with Yemeni poet Abdul Wahid Omran, conducted by journalist Ahmed Mansour.
Ibaa Al-Khatib explored the opinions of a group of poets and critics on the topic of "Poetry: Between the Personal and the Universal."
In the "Cities of the Poem" section, poet Aseel Saqlawi writes about the Lebanese city of Tyre.
In the "Dialogue" section, journalist Marwa Muhammad Reda interviews poet Abdullah Al-Anzi.
The "Echoes of Meanings" section features a variety of pieces, including eloquent expressions, excerpts from poets' humor, and "They Said About..." written by Wiam Al-Masalma.
In the "Article" section, poet Dr Abdul Razzaq Al-Darbas addressed the topic of "Poetic Conversations."
Poet Dr Muhammad Al-Hawrani reviewed the biography of the poet Amr ibn Qami'ah.
In the "Connotations" section, Dr Iman Essam Khalaf wrote about "The Howdah in Arabic Poetry."
In the "Interpretations" section, poet Dr Basila Za'itar read the poem "Paper and Inkwell" by the poet Omar Al-Muqdi.
Dr Rashid Al-Idrisi also read the poem "The Allure of Lights" by the poet Ahlam Banawi.
In the "Book Break" section, Dr Fathi Al-Sharmani reviewed the collection "Punched Solitude" by the poet Muhammad Al-Habib Younis.
In the "Windows" section, poet Dr Muhammad Bashir Al-Ahmad offered a perspective on "Healing: Poetic Prescriptions for Recovery."
The issue also featured a diverse selection of poems, distinguished by their beauty of form and meaning, covering a variety of themes and subjects.
The issue concluded with a poetry essay by the managing editor, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Buraiki, entitled "The City in Poetry," in which he stated: "The city in poetry is not only in buildings or skyscrapers, nor is it only in houses enclosed by stones, nor is it only in places where travelers take refuge, or in centers frequented by many people for shopping, nor in bridges that allow people to cross over water without needing oars to transport them between one river bank and another, without worry or drowning."
